Department Overview
The mathematics curriculum is aligned with California Mathematics Content and Performance Standards. The goal of the mathematics curriculum is to develop mathematically-powerful students. Mathematical power involves the ability to discern mathematical relationships, reason logically, and use mathematical techniques effectively. The focus of each course is a balance among understanding of basic skills, problem solving, and concept development.
